The KUFI Club's social and emotional activities are intended to help youth build social consciousness around their intellectual, self-management, and social abilities. Using practices of the Rites of Passage program, based on the Ngoza Saba principles of the 7 days of Kwanzaa, help shape youth into community leaders as they participate in life passage exercises from birth to adulthood; (birth, childhood, passage from puberty into adulthood, marriage, old age, and death). As youth become more aware of their own emotional feelings, thoughts, and social environments they come to know who they are, their purpose, and meaning for their existence in life.
